  • Brief Introduction

    Dr. Yan holds Ph.D. degree in Architecture from Tsinghua University, Master’s degree in Architecture from Xiamen University, and Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Hefei University of Technology. He worked as a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Chinese Academy. He specializes in computational architectural design and green building design, with a focus on the interdisciplinary integration of architectures and artificial intelligence. His research centers on architectural space generation, the development of architectural large language models, and big data-driven architectural spatial analysis and prediction.

    As a principal investigator, he has secured funding from the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) Youth Program (C-type) and the Postdoctoral Fellowship Program B of CPSF, while contributing to national initiatives such as the 13th Five-Year Plan National Key R&D Program and NSFC General Program. His scholarly output includes over 20 peer-reviewed publications in journals such as Building and Environment, Journal of Building Engineering, and Journal of Architecture; 9 patents and software copyrights, 1 co-authored monograph publication; several competitive awards in architectural design and AI, including 2 international awards and 2 national first prizes. Academic honors include Excellent Ph.D Thesis Award of School of Architecture, Tsinghua University; Excellent Master’s Thesis Award of Fujian Province; the Jiang Nanxiang Scholarship and National Scholarship of Tsinghua University; the Outstanding Student Cadre Award of Tsinghua University.
